Intended For the exclusive use of Rüdiger Heil, his immediate family and descendants and all other branches of the family whose ancestral home is the village of Künzell in Hesse, Germany. This tartan cannot be offered for sale, woven, or copied in any way, without the written permission of the owner of the intellectual property rights (IPR).
Prepared for weaving by Andrew Elliot Ltd, Selkirk, Scotland.

Registration notes: A dress tartan for Rüdiger Heil, his family and descendants. There is a variant of the tartan, with triple blue overstripes on the red ground, worn by the head of the family and his firstborn son. The colours used for this pattern derive from the unique coastal landscape of the Isle of Mingulay: green for the moss; blue for the sea and red for the lonesome guardian of the island, the red rock, known as Ulbhag Ruadh in Gaelic.
