Registration notes: The Show Me tartan was created for the use of Missourians and those celebrating the State of Missouri, United States. The name of the tartan – Show Me - is a nickname for the State of Missouri. The colours were chosen from existing state symbols: the Eastern Bluebird, Grizzly Bear, Missouri Mule, the Crescent Moon, and the State’s mountains, forests, and waterways. Representative Grier proposed the original legislation that this design by Kenneth W. Slayor, originally woven by Jeffery Reynolds, and approved through the Scottish St. Andrew Society of Greater St. Louis, did pass into law making the 'Show Me' tartan a symbol of the state on the 11th of July, 2019.
