Registration notes: This tartan was designed by Martin Gill from Wick, Scotland using the colours of a lifeboat to raise funds for his local lifeboat station. It was registered to honour and remember the life of William Noble, a fisherman and lifeboatman from Fraserburgh who received a Vellum of thanks from the RNLI in 1941. The tartan is intended to honour those who serve or have served at sea and remember those lost in the line of duty.
