Registration notes: Barry Martin was a dedicated Firefighter based in Edinburgh. He lost his life 4 days after attending a fire at the former Jenners building on 27th January 2023, where he sustained critical injuries. Barry was married to Shelley in 2010 where he proudly wore the Lionheart tartan. Based upon the colours of this and incorporating the Thin Red Line which symbolises the loss of firefighter life in the line of duty, the Barry Martin Commemorative tartan was created to remember the magic Barry brought to the lives of his family and friends.
