| Registration notes: |
Walking Song was designed by Michael J. Quigley as a tartan homage inspired by the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, reflecting themes of journey, adventure, homecoming, and the enduring literary tradition of the road and the traveller’s song. The blue, green, black, and white were inspired by Tolkien’s original Hobbit dust jacket artwork, evoking mountains, forests, sky, and a long white road. The symmetrical sett reflects a journey outward and home again. The thread count has 37 black and green threads for the year 1937; 14 white threads for the traveling company; and three black lines within the green for the three trolls turned to stone. |
